return and exchange policy

Return Policy

Customers should take time to fully understand this policy before making a purchase, as it outlines the conditions under which returns, exchanges, and refunds may or may not be offered by store.Please remember returns may be accepted within 10 business days from the received date for an exchange or store credit only. Shipping fee is non-refundable, unless you received damaged, defective, or wrong item(s). Returns must be unworn, unaltered, and come in original package and must be approved. Please read and understand the full Refund Policy before continuing your order.


  1. Custom Orders: Custom design jewelry, specifically created based on the client's specifications, Due to this custom nature, the store is not obligated to provide refunds if the client changes their mind about a purchase, regardless of the reason.
  2. Creation Time: Each piece of jewelry takes varying amounts of time to create, which can span from several days to weeks. This duration depends on the level of customization requested by the client.
  3. Partial Store Credit or Exchange: While refunds are generally not offered, the store may accept returns for certain articles if they are returned in a condition suitable for resale. This return window is within 10 business days from the date the item was received.
  4. Fees: If a return is accepted, the buyer is responsible for additional fees, which might include restocking fees, reconditioning fees, and all shipping fees. These fees are non-refundable.
  5. Refunds and Custom Items: The policy explicitly states that no refunds will be provided for "buyer's remorse." Additionally, there are no refunds offered for custom engraved merchandise, custom-made rings, grills, or other custom work.
  6. Damaged or Defective Items: If an item is thought to be damaged or defective, it must be returned by the customer at their own expense. The validity of such claims will be determined by the store Unique Jewelry NY.
  7. Legal Obligations: The policy assures customers that if the received order was faulty or damaged, the store will fulfill its obligations according to applicable laws.


How to return?

1. Obtain the Return Shipping Authorization Code: Contact us at uniquejewelryny22@gmail.com to obtain a return shipping authorization code. Write your return shipping authorization code on the outside of the package you are returning. 


2. Packing your order: For all returns and exchanges, include all original packaging and accompanying materials, including the packing slip and all diamond certificates (a $250 replacement fee per certificate will be charged otherwise). For security reasons, do not write jewelry, diamonds or other related words anywhere on the package.


3. Shipment and Insurance: In order for the insurance to be valid with the use of your FedEx prepaid label, you must "double box" your shipment and follow these instructions. Enclose your item inside its original ring/jewelry box. For your convenience, we recommend using the original packaging from your order. Place the ring/jewelry box inside the medium box. Place the medium box inside the larger box. If you do not have the original packaging, please include the ring/jewelry box inside a small FedEx Priority box and seal it. Place the small FedEx Priority box inside a medium FedEx Priority box. Affix the label to the outside of the larger box and drop it off at your nearest FedEx location. Unique Jewelry NY and FedEx are not responsible for packages dropped off in FedEx Drop Boxes or Non-FedEx staffed locations. Obtain a FedEx receipt to confirm that the item has been shipped - this receipt will act as proof of insurance.


4. If you decide to use a different shipping method you can ship it back by any carrier. For your protection, please ship your item fully insured, signature required, and request a return receipt for confirmation that your shipment has reached Unique Jewelry of NY and not responsible for items lost or damaged while shipping.


Please carefully package the item you are returning in its original packaging. You are responsible for the return shipping label. Once your package is prepared, please mail your order to the following address with Return Authorization Code. We do not accept any shipment without the code.

Please allow 2-3 weeks from the return shipped date for us to receive and process. If allowed by Quality Assurance by Unique Jewelry NY NYC, the account will be credited with the determined amount.

How long will it take for return?

After we receive the returned order, our Quality Assurance department will inspect and verify the condition of the item. Returns take approximately five business days to process upon receipt of the item. Refunds will be issued via the method of payment used in the original purchase. International bank wire purchases will be refunded in USD according to the exchange rate at time of purchase. Unique Jewelry of NY is not responsible for differences in foreign currency refund amounts due to exchange rate fluctuations between the time of purchase and refund. Unique Jewelry of NY is not responsible for any foreign exchange or other fees that are charged by the customer’s financial institution. For all credit card refunds, please allow one monthly billing cycle in order for your credit to appear.


Packages without a return shipping authorization number or packages that were refused delivery will not be accepted for refund and are subject to a minimum restocking charge of $50. Return shipping authorizations are active for seven days from the date of issue and packages must be shipped during the active time period of your return shipping authorization. If your return shipping authorization has expired, please contact us at uniquejewelryny22@gmail.com to request another return shipping authorization. All requests for refunds must be in writing via email. Any returns showing signs of wear or those that have been engraved, personalized, altered, resized, or damaged in any way will not be accepted for return. Improperly packaged or uninsured items will be refused receipt.
